Hi! I’m Mike, a Dundee based Sound designer currently working at Sumo Digital on an unannounced title. Previous to this I worked at 4J for 2 years working on multiple Minecraft DLC packs, providing and implementing the sound and music.
Prior to my job at 4J, I attended Abertay University where I attained a Professional Masters in Game Development and a 1st class Honours Degree in Sound and Music for games. During my studies, I also provided contract work for the local game studio Pocket Sized Hands.
Before learning about game design at Abertay, my background was in musical composition, though I’ve been an avid gamer for as long as I can remember. Being able to combine these aspects of my life into a career still has me pinching myself occasionally, and I can honestly say I love my job.
